After the wettest winter and spring most of us can remember, we celebrated the sun at the Muir Beach Volunteer Firemen's Barbecue at the Muir Beach Picnic Grounds on Muir Woods Road, enjoying an afternoon of live music by "André's All Stars," barbecued chicken and vegetarian tamale dinners, homemade desserts, and beer from Lagunitas Brewing Company. One hundred people won prizes donated by businesses and individuals in the raffle... next year it might be your turn to win! You can still purchase the famous Muir Beach Volunteer Fire Department logo clothing and gear. Mark Memorial Day Weekend Sunday on your 2012 calendar!

live here as well for the many visitors to our corner of the Golden Gate
National Recreation Area, more than a dozen members of our community donate
a huge part of their time serving as our VOLUNTEER
